Editorial spotlight · 314 Harbor Boulevard, Destin
Eleven pontoons with names rather than numbers, each with a captain, running the short hop from Destin harbor to Crab Island. Paddleboards, floats, a lily pad, a cooler with ice and bottled water and a Bluetooth speaker come aboard; the double-deckers come with a slide.

The operation
The fleet reads like a jukebox: Osprey, Sweet Caroline, Takin’ It Easy, Chillin’ The Most, Nemo, Happy Hour, Island Time, Dancing Queen, Waterloo, Mongoose and It’s Tricky. Each is booked by name, which means you know what you are getting rather than drawing whatever is left at the dock.
Boats scale from six guests on a two-hour charter to thirty-two with a restroom aboard. Every charter is captained. What comes with it: paddleboards, pool floats, a lily pad, a large cooler with ice and bottled water, and a Bluetooth speaker, with snorkel gear added on the three-hour cruise. Crab Island is a shallow submerged sandbar just inside the East Pass, which is why half of Destin anchors there.
“All inclusive captained pontoon charter — a boat for every party size.”
The site does not list captains by name; reviewers mention Tanner, Joey and Nick.

Before you go
314 Harbor Blvd, Destin. A van and car shuttle to the boats can be added at booking.
Captain, paddleboards, pool floats, lily pad, large cooler with ice and bottled water, Bluetooth speaker. Snorkel gear on the three-hour cruise.
A shallow submerged sandbar just inside the East Pass, not a true island. Water is waist deep in most of it.
On the larger boats only; check the listing before booking a long trip with children.
Reviews
Reviewers name Captains Tanner and Joey, praise the local recommendations and how the crew handled kids; the common note is that Crab Island gets busy at weekends.
