The operation
The company draws a line between its boats and the pontoons that have had a thatched roof added: these are purpose-built octagonal floating tiki bars, built to look the part, and they cruise at about five miles an hour. Coast Guard rules cap them at six passengers plus crew, so every cruise is effectively a small private group; larger parties book several boats and run up to 24 people together.
Every cruise carries a USCG-certified captain, Type 1 life jackets for every passenger and a first aid kit. The boat supplies a large Yeti cooler with ice and a Bluetooth Kicker speaker; guests bring their own drinks and food. Cruisin’ Tikis is a franchised brand with locations in several states; this is the Clearwater operation.
“Cruisin’ Tikis’ one-of-a-kind tiki boats are all about fun and the best way to experience Clearwater, Florida.”
The site does not list captains by name; reviewers mention Captains Brian and Dylan.
